“A new era of Maui’s salon education”
The Academy was born from a simple but powerful truth—Maui needed more. More support. More structure. More opportunities for aspiring stylists to thrive not just as artists, but as professionals with purpose. Marci, the heart behind Honey Wild Beauty, saw firsthand how many new stylists were left to figure things out on their own. The techniques mattered, yes—but so did the mentorship, the consistency, the hands-on support that turns raw talent into lasting careers.
In 2022, Marci shared the vision with her salon sister Adrie, and together, they began building something different. Something intimate. Something that felt like a true investment in the future of Maui’s beauty industry. With the extra support of master braider and stylist Emily, the dream of The Academy became real.
Now fully in motion, The Academy is home to three incredible students, guided closely by two full-time stylists and two part-time stylists. Our salon feels more alive than ever, filled with curiosity, growth, and shared passion. These students are learning from the best in the business and are now proudly taking on color clients of their own.
